Any other year since 2014 I woulda been jazzing up Eurobike right now (well, whatever week before Eurobike as it's hopped around the calendar over the years) and technically, I still am. Both TMD Locks & Veloe will be exhibiting at the show.
Several of my industry colleagues and friends confirmed joining only in the past 48hrs. Most only on Wednesday and leaving Thursday. I hemmed and hawed since the start of the year and am always Mr. Tradeshow but I'm letting this one go.
On the heels of several grassroots events like Fenderfest, Mini Bike Fest and the Bicycle Adventure Meetup, making the uncertain sojourn to Frankfurt vs. some recently seldom time at home added up to a relatively easy albeit foreign conclusion for me.
I'm sure everyone will have a good time but something tells me it'll feel like the final Friedrichshafen edition; halved halls & half the attendees and industry action.
Maybe I'm just being a bummer but it's also not just me. ZIV just announced a new bike trade show 6-8 September in 2027. Toe to toe with Eurobike. Not to mention CycleExpo Amsterdam, October 6–8, 2027. 😮

I'll miss our tradition of inviting everyone for Eritrean at Frankfurt's African Queen but just like Feierabendrundes along the Bodensee, sometimes the winds of change blow a different direction.
That being said, I'm hoping for optimistic reports after Eurobike '26 and maybe the move in 2027 will be to head to Eurobike Sept 1-3 then a ~200km ride up to Cologne for ZIV's twrds tmrrw show. Remiscient of my 200km rides from Münich and Basel to Friedrichsafen years ago. Time will tell. : )
To everyone heading to Frankfurt, have a good show!
And if you do go, update me on your experience, I'm keen to know!
and thank you for reading,
Jon

The first few months of the collaboration with Post Carry Co. focused on developing the brand’s communication strategy and revisiting the brand book.Following this, we turned our attention to strategic priorities to advance the brand and take it to the next level. Currently, Twotone is working on an annual content calendar, preparing brand activations for 2027, signing athletes, and supporting the development of product roadmaps.

Twotone supported the German brand, JobRad® Loop to shape its visibility in a new marketplace by bringing a unique service and a credible story to the launch. Our goal in the first three months of the collaboration was to showcase JobRad® Loop’s huge selection of high-quality, brand-name refurbished bikes, all professionally refurbished, fairly priced, and backed by a warranty. We secured eight placements across the Dutch media space following JobRad® Loop’s market entry, developed their NL-based ambassador program, and brought them together with Project Fearless, an Amsterdam and Rotterdam-based non-profit organization that provides dynamic after-school programs.

Back in my day you had to scour satellite images, lol! GRAVELFinder looks like a great komoot alternative to add some off-road to your rides!

1980: 2 TONE Records - Behind The Scenes
Proud to say I was a huge 2 Tone Records fan since high school and The Specials will forever be a fave. Earning the Twotone nickname in university from my clothes matching my bike to it becoming the name of my company many years to watching a film like this makes our homage name even more fitting. What a legendary crew & inspiring story!
