This week's food for thought is courtesy of Darius Foroux. He wrote a post on Medium earlier this month called: The Purpose Of Life Is Not Happiness: It’s Usefulness. I relate to this idea. Getting fulfilment by helping others is what motivates me everyday and keeps me stoked.
I think that by considering happiness as merely a byproduct of usefulness, it is an easy way to build more good will and karma. Not to mention that this mindset is a great step towards enlightened self-interest.
