Already two days into a week long trip & making sure to get my Revue out. Stoked! The past two days were at The Cycle Show in Birmingham where I met as many people as possible and still managing to sneak in a solid ride.
Already at my next stop, I'm penning this week's update from Bristol. I'm visiting the Tiny Spark team to talk about me continuing to help their clients Ignition & Phoenix Wharf with new business for exhibition and brand environment design. Speaking of design...
Cycling
A prime example of how a lifestyle cycling brand can come to life.
Phoenix Wharf's Jonathan Brooks did a write up back in May about Denmark's Cykelmageren and their pride in attention to detail presenting their Copenhagen store and in showcasing their their beautifully crafted custom components. I want to visit!
On the Podia.cc blog: An American in Bavaria
At first glance Crema Cycles looks like a very well designed high-end bike shop. The type of shop that you would expect to find in a big city, not in a small village located in the Bavarian mountains. But Crema isn’t just a high-end bike shop, far from it. Inspiring stuff Ken, keep it up!
VogueNL's mens magazine features Meesterknecht
My friends at Meesterknecht got featured in the new Dutch Vogue Men! And yes, they're proud of that since featured with our brothers of Lola Bikes & Coffee in The Hague and Rapha's Amsterdam Cycle Club. Goede bezig jongens!
Startups
The great unbundling of marketing
Brands are building their own personal marketing technology stacks. Great post for CMOs of soon to be big companies.
MarkO, the superpower of remembering
I'll be trying out this Geo Task Reminder - To Do List startup based in Amsterdam and Macedonia soon. If you give it a go, let me know what you think!
Recommendo - Mobile apps to get personalized recommendations from the people you trust.
The team at Recommendo reached out through twitter recently & I thought to share what may be the best iteration of this instant advice idea that I've seen.
Sales

How Salesloft Booked 183 Qualified Appts at Dreamforce
Ask a VP of Marketing at a large-scale trade show why they’re at the event and it won’t be long until you hear the word “leads.” But a lead is just data. First name, last name, email, etc. You want the real deal, on the books, logged in calendars, saved in CRM, qualified appointments. But how?...
Radness
I'm often asked by friends where best to stay in Amsterdam, and I'm often underprepared to give advice. Not anymore! This year there is an Urban Campsite situated east of the city at the tip of an artificial island called IJburg. All ‘tents’ are easily booked through Airbnb with prices starting at €85 per night. I'm hoping to check these out soon!
But if camping isn't your thing, check out this Amsterdam Hotel that has 15 rooms That are all completely different. Definitely a rad choice! Thanks for tuning in and have a great week!
