Nothing kills your vibe like watching your home country devolve right before your eyes. In case there's any confusion: here’s what really happened in Charlottesville. The 'Outside Your Bubble, other perspectives' section at the bottom of this story is clever. Considering other perspectives is always the right thing to do.
So is taking a firm stance again discrimination. No surprise, yet still so disappointing, that America's current president is incapable saying the obvious. He won’t condemn white supremacy because he has no appreciation for America’s tragic history.
Don't just watch the news: do your part to improve the world & step outside your bubble to affect change. Here are 5 Doable Ways You Can Change Racism:
- Respect - We all clearly respect one another.
- Feeling safe - A feeling of safety and acceptance of our differences makes each person more open and honest. In such an environment, fear may exist, but it cannot rule.
- Curiosity - Our shared sense of safety allows us to ask questions that otherwise would probably not be broached.
- Dialogue - We are talking, and listening to one another.
- Presumed commonality - Our starting place is our similarities as humans.

BLOOMS 2: Strobe Animated Sculptures
Blooms are 3-D printed sculptures designed to animate when spun under a strobe light. Unlike a 3D zoetrope, which animates a sequence of small changes to objects, a bloom animates as a single self-contained sculpture.
The bloom’s animation effect is achieved by progressive rotations of the golden ratio, phi (ϕ), the same ratio that nature employs to generate the spiral patterns we see in pinecones and sunflowers. The rotational speed and strobe rate of the bloom are synchronized so that one flash occurs every time the bloom turns 137.5º (the angular version of phi).*
